Reading Samples The Sonday System and REWARDS are the two reading programs we currently support. Generally, younger students work within the Sonday system. Older students may work with REWARDS, which like Sonday has a heavy phonetic focus, but REWARDS uses multi-syllabic words which appeal more to older students. We monitor student progress in both programs using daily one minute tests in reading Word Lists. In Sonday we additionally monitor student progress reading Sentences. In REWARDS we monitor student progress in reading Cumulative Words lists and reading Passages.
