My Learning Partners helps tutors individualize and self-pace their students’ learning. A parent’s personal decision to have a tutor work with their child shows a high level of commitment to their child’s learning. My Learning Partners was created to assure each student’s learning is a pleasant and successful experience. Frequent communication between tutors and MLP is one of our keys to accomplishing this goal.
Students need to be proficient in the basic elements of learning for success at higher levels. We currently focus on proficiency in reading, written language and math.
MLP assists tutors in assuring students receive individualized and self paced learning. Through individualization each student is placed exactly at their skill level in each academic area. Through self-pacing the breadth of materials is geared to each student’s learning pace, not too complex and not too simple.
Once a student's skill level is identified, tutors sample the growth of their students using one-minute daily tests. The results of these daily tests are sent to MLP on-line. Through our analysis of these tests we make recommendations assuring students are progressing at their most effective pace.
MLP monitors and analyzes each student’s growth daily. While we monitor growth daily, we typically report back to tutors every week. We provide timely feedback about each student’s learning without being intrusive.
