Personalized Analysis

Personalized Analysis provides personal support to the Center by an Educational Psychologist.  This support services sets the Center apart from other tutoring centers, and includes:

Tailoring services to meet the needs of individual students who come in with diagnostic reports or testing

Monitoring student progress, analyzing patterns that require interventions for continued rapid growth rate

Designing interventions, or suggesting changes in instructional strategy when a student’s growth rate slows

Providing Student Progress Reports to the center weekly.

Reports both provide educational data and help demonstrate how the Center makes adjustments to meet each student’s educational needs

Supervisors share student reports with tutors; this frees supervisor time from discussing what to do with struggling students

Tutors can share the student’s progress report with parents

Parents can share the report with their child’s school

Student Progress Reports on each student and each area/subject are sent back to the center once a week, generally Friday.

It typically takes 3 to 4 data points to make meaningful decisions about each student’s growth.

Student learning rate is specified as on target, below target, or above target.

Below target can indicate frustration due to confusion (data overload, the lesson may be too   difficult)

Above target can indicate frustration due to boredom (the lesson may be too easy)

Student growth will not always be on target; this is to be expected.  Our aim is to rapidly identify when students are off target and bring each student back to effective learning levels.

Generally, the center starts with the Tutor Guide for Supervisors, and the Quick Reference Guide for Tutors to familiarize themselves with the methodology and processes.  The Quick Reference Guide includes a ThinkFast component.  Please contact us and we will forward these documents and files to you via email while you are waiting for shipment of the hard copy that is part of the Reading or Math materials.  We have PowerPoint presentations available on our services for Reading and Written Language, and for Dr. Matt's Math.  There is a version for supervisors, and a shorter version for tutors; however, it is strongly recommended that you become familiar with the Tutor Guide or Quick Reference before going through the PowerPoint presentations.  Once you complete the Tutor Guide or Quick Reference, send us an email and we will send the PowerPoint presentations.
